Our Lives As A Rainbow

You could say our lives are like a rainbow. I mean hypothetically… They’re full of colour, each representing an emotion. And sometimes these colours are mis-interpreted, taken for granted, or with a grain of salt. But these ever-changing colours are always present, whether they be baby blue or a dark rouge. As a teenager, these colours are brought out more than anything.

There is an abstract rainbow (or colour wheel) constantly turning in our brain, and whether we like it or not, it will always keep spinning. The one thing that we must all remember is that sometimes this rainbow is is created with rain, and sometimes it is created with sunshine. But without the other, it would not exist, and we would not feel the power of emotion.

I guess what I’m trying to say is that with sad times come happy times, and there will always be a light at the end of the tunnel…

Here’s a spontaneous little poem-ish piece I wrote which coincides with this post:

One blue drop.

It lingers, as one would do when trying to savour the last of a rich dream. 

As it falls, a pretentious red one replaces it, settling in…

Not too long though – a colour most commonly known as golden slides in unnoticed, but still there.

This is the warmest of them all. 

As quickly as it appears, this golden moment is gone. 

Whether noticed or the opposite, it must be savoured.

This is colour wheel of us.

Wherever we look,

it’s always there. 

This outfit is full of colour (well the pants anyways). I’ve been falling in love with neck scarfs recently (roll Elvis Presley music right here), and this one is as vintage as it gets. It belonged to my great grandmother, and it’s been passed down from generation to generation… Also, don’t mind the eyeliner swatches on my hands – I had to make a very hard decision. I want to give a big THANK YOU to my dad for taking these pictures for me. It’s a step up from my own camera quality. I’m very happy at how aesthetic my garden looked today!
