Hey
Ok so when I was in Italy, I tried to make the most of the stores that were only available in Europe e.g Weekday. So, to the surprise of my host family, I put my trust in Italy’s postage system (which has a habit of ‘losing’ most packages) to deliver a few clothes to me, one of which being the jumpsuit pictured below. Although it’s like 2 sizes too big, it’s so cool ahhh.
I’M WEARING:
BANDEAU || Swop Vintage
SHOES || Dr Martens
JUMPSUIT || Weekday
EARRINGS || Unknown
Along with like 5 other books, I’m reading the book pictured above (Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran-Foer). I’m not gonna go into too much detail only because I’m not too far into it, and schoolwork (+ my phone) is making it harder and harder and harder to read in the week, but to summarise in a sentence, it’s about a boy whose dad passed away in 9/11, and how he deals with life afterwards. It’s a little hard to get your head around the way Oskar (the boy) thinks, but so far, so good. Also, I’m re-reading Harry Potter and I forgot how good the books are!
Another book that I’ve been reading (technically, only looking at) is American Surfaces. It’s a photography book by Stephen Shore consisting of a whole lot of really cool pictures from a trip across America, taken in the 70s. I was looking at it for a drama assignment, but actually found it so interesting because at the time of its release, the photos and the exhibition weren’t too popular, because they were just snapshots of random places/things/people and no one thought of them as special or unusual. But now, almost 50 years later, it is so cool to have those candid photos to tell how much things have changed and just to look at the rawness of them!
Thanks for looking/reading!
Sophia
