Hey there!
God it’s been almost a year. This blog is covered in cobwebs! (I did not just say that..)
Anyway, I took a long time to figure out the logistics of the blog and my clothes and my writing and all that other stuff. But I’m backkkk. Just in time for grade 11. :*)
So let’s talk about some fashion. Right now, my textiles class project is to make a corset, which is both daunting, because I have serious commitment issues when it comes to sewing, and quite interesting (you gotta love a good scrapbook). As I have been prompted to do more research, I thought a great segue back into this blog is to look at some great corsets that have been done over time.
Let’s kick things off with these leather corsets by Alaia. I was in the bookstore and found the book ALAIA, and fell in love with the leather contrasting with lighter, lacier fabrics underneath. The colours are quite simple yet they go so far in terms of complementing each other.
These corsets by Vivienne Westwood are absolutely amazing. I feel like she took a whole new turn on the corset, making an incontestable statement.
Aaand finally this sickkk Madonna-style full-body corset by Jean Paul Gaultier.

For my outfit, I thought I’d show you my favourite end-of-summer look that I literally haven’t changed out of. My friend and I discovered these amazing Muji pants (I know – Muji has it all!) which just have the most perfect shape. I love the slightly lower cut, which makes the legs look super long (thank god). So enjoy!
